Travelers Aid Airport Volunteer, Mahlon Smith, Recognized for Exceptional Kindness

“Yesterday my husband and I arrived in Oklahoma from Dayton, Ohio, upon exiting the terminal area to claim our baggage, my husband began experiencing low blood sugar symptoms. Upon asking the gentleman at the information desk in we could go back inside the terminal to one of the food court we learned we couldn’t go back in unless we were going to catch a flight, but at seeing how my husband was feeling, Mr. Mahlon (didn’t get his last nane) took it upon himself to go and candy and granola bars for my husband to eat which immediately relieved his symptoms. We both truly appreciated his kindness and wanted to let you know you have a very caring and considerate employee who works for you. That’s what’s missing so much in the world today, people like Mahlon who go out of their way to help. Again we are grateful for his kindness! Sincerely, Carolyn and Leroy Banks.”
