Chief Executive Officer
Periann has been with Upward Transitions since 2009. She is responsible for all activities of our 94-year-old organization. Prior to her position as CEO, she was the Chief Operations Officer for four years and was the Director of Volunteers for our Travelers Aid Information Booth Program at Will Rogers World Airport for six years. Periann serves on the Board of Directors and Professional Council for Travelers Aid International. She holds Oklahoma Center For Nonprofits' Standards for Excellence and Nonprofit Management Certifications. Periann has over 30 years of experience in business management and earned her bachelor's degree in Journalism from Oklahoma State University.
Director of Community Outreach Programs
Terri has been with Upward Transitions since 1997. She’s responsible for overseeing homeless and homeless prevention services, the Emergency Solutions Grant, the Emergency Food and Shelter Grant and the Oklahoma County Emergency Utility Assistance Program.
Terri earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Wichita State University.
Crystal joined Upward Transitions in 2017. She is responsible for managing all aspects of the Volunteer Program at Will Rogers World Airport. The airport volunteers staff the two information booths 365 days a year and provide information and assistance to the traveling public and visitors to Oklahoma City. Crystal is a Certified Tourism Ambassador. Prior to her position at Upward Transitions, Crystal developed her management skills and resourcefulness through her 14 years as a restaurant general manager. Over the past four years, she refined her supervisory, leadership, and communication abilities as a volunteer office administration coach and assistant teacher at a local church.
Director of Development and Public Relations
Micah joined the Upward Transitions team in September 2019. She is responsible for championing the sharing of the Upward Transition story with the community, as well as strategically raising funds to support the mission of the organization. Before joining the team, Micah developed her fundraising and public relations skills in faith-based non-profits and large, community-minded congregations. Micah has a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University, a master’s degree from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University, as well as holding a certification in church administration. Micah has over 10 years of public speaking and fundraising experience that she brings to the Upward Transitions team.
Tamara has been with Upward Transitions since 2009. She’s responsible for providing administrative support to the Upward Transitions staff, managing the office equipment and supplies, coordinating various accounting duties and assisting with donor relations. She is also instrumental in orchestrating our fundraisers.
