Upward Transitions Receives Grant from Sunstate Equipment Foundation

OKLAHOMA CITY — Upward Transitions has been awarded a grant of $5,000 from the Sunstate Equipment Foundation to be used in its services to address poverty in Oklahoma County.

This grant will support Upward Transitions in its work preventing generational poverty through community collaboration, emergency relief, and empowerment, therefore inspiring hope in families and individuals experiencing housing instability.

Upward Transitions is an Oklahoma County 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves families and individuals who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, or stranded by providing case management and stabilizing resources to help meet basic social needs. For over 99 years, Upward Transitions has touched the lives of Oklahomans in need.

Upward Transitions’ CEO, Periann Pulliam shared, “We are so grateful to receive this grant from the Sunstate Equipment Foundation. This funding will assist Upward Transitions in providing services to help some of the most vulnerable citizens in our community. We truly appreciate their support of our mission.”

The Sunstate Equipment Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable foundation, was formed in 2015 as a way for Sunstate Equipment and its employees to give back to the communities in which they live and work. The Foundation has given over $1.5 million to charities.

Help end generational poverty.
