Upward Transitions’ annual “Calendar of Sharing” drive will begin tomorrow, December 1st, and run through December 22nd. Each year, participants gather with groups of family, friends, coworkers, club members, or church groups and collect daily items from our list of simple gifts to provide some comfort to our clients: people experiencing homelessness and poverty.
At the end of the drive, the donated items are to be taken to our office at 1134 West Main Street in Oklahoma City by December 22nd between 8:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
“We have a lot of groups and families that bring their kids along to drop off their boxes,” said Periann Pulliam, CEO of Upward Transitions. “It’s a great way to make holiday memories and share in the giving spirit at this time of year.”
Pulliam also added that dropping off donated items in bags was helpful, as many of our clients need bags for their possessions.
