Holiday Spirit Contests

Each year, Upward Transitions invites you to make December a season of sharing for your family, community, friends, or staff to bring some holiday cheer, comfort, and kindness to those experiencing homelessness and poverty in our community by designating an area with a cheerful box or bag and put each day’s designated item from our list of needs into it.
 
On or before December 22nd or 23rd, we ask you to come drop off your gifts for those who need them most at 1134 W. Main Street in OKC. 

The Group Contest

In December of 2025, in observance of our centennial year, the donor group that shows the most holiday spirit will win a group prize. 

  • Donors are encouraged to dress in fun or festive holiday attire or even to sing carols when dropping off the donated items and enter the contest. 

   

  • It is also acceptable to take a picture of the group including the collection bag or box to send to or share with Upward Transitions as an entry into the contest.

   

  • All entries will be featured on social media.

The Pet Contest

Groups may also enter their pets for a separate prize for holiday spirit.

  • Pets must be owned by a member of the donating group and any picture submitted must be a recent picture taken specifically for the contest.

   

  • If a pet is brought in person during drop-off, it must be in a carrier or on a leash.

   

  • All pet entries will be featured on social media.

The 2025 Calendar of Sharing event marks the end of a yearlong celebration of Upward Transitions’ centennial.
