Emergency Travel Assistance

Stranded travelers may receive assistance with travel (bus ticket or gas voucher) to return to their home if they can show they were traveling through OKC, their travel was interrupted (medical issue, car trouble, etc.), and OKC was not their final destination. We are able to assist with a 5% discount on a one-way Greyhound ticket.  The client is responsible for 95% of the cost of the ticket. For assistance with long distance gas, client must have a valid driver license and valid proof of auto insurance.  We must be able to confirm client is traveling to their permanent residence.  If we are unable to assist with travel, we will provide client with other possible resources for assistance.

With a referral from a domestic violence or human trafficking service, victims of domestic violence or human trafficking are eligible for assistance with long distance travel (a bus ticket or gas voucher). We must be able to confirm that the victim has a safety plan and will have a place to live at their final destination (shelter or home).  For assistance with long distance gas, the client must have a valid driver license and valid proof of auto insurance.
