When Vonnie Garner, VP, Senior Regional Community Relations Manager at BOK and LaNeka Wilson, System Specialist II ACBS Servicing at BOK Financial (and Upward Transitions Board Member) told our CEO, Periann Pulliam, that they wanted to meet today, they had more than a meeting up their sleeves.
They showed up with a check for $5,000 and a balloon bouquet to announce that Upward Transitions had won the “People’s Choice” selection in BOK’s Guide the Giving Program!
“GuideTheGiving Program allows our employees to nominate and vote for the nonprofit organizations they believe are doing the most good across our community. The organizations with the most votes in each of our markets receive a $10,000 gift. An additional five organizations across all markets receive $5,000 as the People’s Choice winners.” – BOK

Upward Transitions is so very humbled and honored to receive this recognition (and we know we have LaNeka to thank for promoting us for it). The funds will go to help people in crisis and at risk of losing their homes in Oklahoma County.
