Upward Transitions welcomed five new members to the Executive Board of Directors during its June board meeting. Belinda Howard Tricinella, Jo Kenaga, Shelly Smith, Wendy Lambert and Joe Symcox join a dedicated board of 21 members lead by incoming Board President Wayne Barbour of Barbour Energy.
“We are so fortunate to have such wonderful individuals who are willing to give their time, talent and leadership to our organization,” said Dana Hope Chism, executive director, Upward Transitions.
Belinda Howard Tricinella
Tricinella serves as an attorney for The Center for Education Law, P.C. In addition to her role at Upward Transitions, Tricinella is a member of the Junior
League of Oklahoma City, the Gamma Phi Beta Alumni Executive Committee as well as the American and Oklahoma Bar Associations.
Jo Kenaga
Kenaga is a retired nonprofit professional with years of experience as a fundraiser and grant writer. Kenaga served three terms as the Chair of Leadership Shawnee and has been active with United Way of Pottawatomie County, Communities in Schools, Public Action Committee and Prevention Professionals Committee.
Shelly Smith
Smith serves as a Supervisor, IT Specialist at Tinker Air Force Base. She has been an active volunteer with the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, Oklahoma City Zoo, Free to Live Animal Sanctuary and Upward Transitions.
Wendy Lambert
Lambert serves as the Senior Executive Pastor for St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. She has served as Director of Worship for the Oklahoma Conference of the United Methodist Church as well as a member of the conference’s Finance and Administration.
Joe Symcox
Symcox serves as a Senior Wealth Manager for First Fidelity Bank. He is a member of the American Banker Association and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He comes to Upward Transitions through the United Way Board Serve program.
