EXPRESS EMPLOYMENT INTERNATIONAL SHARING VALENTINE LOVE WITH OKC COMMUNITY

OKLAHOMA CITY – This Valentine’s Day, Express Employment International is encouraging Oklahoma City to “Share the Love” with our neighbors in need. The industry-leading, international, staffing company is joining forces with local nonprofit, Upward Transitions, to turn this year’s most romantic day into a time to let that love spill over to help families facing homelessness.

February 1-14th, participants can donate to Upward Transitions in the name of their sweetheart or loved-one to help families and individuals facing housing instability. Upward Transitions will send a personalized valentine to the loved one in whose name the donation was made. All such donations will be matched up to a total of $5,000 by Express Employment International.

Periann Pulliam, Chief Executive Officer of Upward Transitions shared, “Upward Transitions is grateful to Express Employment International for their continued support of our ‘Share the Love’ campaign. It’s an opportunity of compassion to turn a $5,000 matching grant from Express into a $10,000 contribution to prevent and reduce homelessness in our community!”

Through its Community Outreach Program, Upward Transitions prevents families with minor children and seniors from losing their housing through eviction due to unpaid rent and utilities. The agency also assists those experiencing homelessness with obtaining their identifying documents, such as birth certificates and state IDs, making it possible to obtain employment, housing, and social services.

For 100 years, Upward Transitions has assisted stranded travelers, people in housing crises, and low-income families in the Central Oklahoma community. Its mission is to prevent generational poverty through community collaboration, emergency relief, and empowerment, therefore inspiring hope with our neighbors experiencing housing instability.

Express Employment International values philanthropic efforts as a vital aspect of its people-first mindset. Founded and internationally headquartered in Oklahoma, its corporate initiatives, led by its Philanthropic Committee, focus on supporting local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.
