They have no ID, no birth certificate, no passport, and no social security card, and they usually have no way to get one.
Without some form of identification, you cannot get a job, a home, medical treatment, benefits, a hotel room, space in most homeless shelters, and more.
109,300 households in our community are paying more than 50% of their income on housing, and 33% of single-parent families with related children are below the poverty level.
