From sunrise to the end of the day on October 5, groups gathered to help Upward Transitions both at our current location and at our soon to be location.
The Maintenance department at the OU Health Science Center gathered to prep our new location for construction to begin. They took out walls, cleared bushes, mowed grass and even brought an electrician to get us ready to start building our future home on Main street. These hard working people filled four dumpsters during the day.
The annual lunch for our clients kicked off at 11 at our current location. Volunteers from the BKD accounting firm joined with Thunder girls to cook and serve hamburgers and hot dogs to our clients. Rumble even came by to take pictures with everyone and rally the crowd — it was hard to say who was more excited the adults or the kids.
The Board of Directors and Staff of Upward Transitions would like thank everyone who volunteered to help Upward Transitions help the people in need in our community. We couldn’t do it without you.
