“We are beyond excited to have Conna on our team,” Upward Transitions’ CEO, Periann Pulliam shared. “She is driven to share our mission and our client stories and is the perfect person to lead our development and public relations into the next century of service to Oklahoma City.”
Since 1925, Upward Transitions has touched the lives of Oklahomans in need. Research supports the practice that the most effective programs work by giving one-time cash assistance to those on the brink of homelessness who can demonstrate they will be able to pay rent in the future. According to a Notre Dame 2016 study, those who received assistance were 76% less likely to become homeless after 6 months. Upward Transitions’ programs show that 85% of clients maintained stable housing with utilities connected for one year after receiving assistance.
Upward Transitions is an Oklahoma County non-profit serving families and individuals who are stranded, homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless by providing case management and stabilizing resources to help meet basic social needs.
