Anne & Henry Zarrow Foundation Grants $25,000 to Upward Transtions

JUNE 23, 2023 — Upward Transitions received a general operating grant of $25,000 from The Anne & Henry Zarrow Foundation to support Upward Transitions’ programs that prevent generational poverty in Oklahoma County. 

Upward Transitions CEO Periann Pulliam shared, “We are so grateful to The Anne & Henry Zarrow Foundation for their generous support. This grant will support our Community Outreach Program so we may continue making a meaningful impact on the lives of families and  individuals who are struggling to remain housed or already experiencing homelessness.” For over 97 years, Upward Transitions has touched the lives of Oklahomans in need through the mission to prevent generational poverty through community collaboration, emergency relief, and empowerment, therefore inspiring hope in families and individuals experiencing housing instability. 

The mission of The Anne & Henry Zarrow Foundation is, “to lift our neighbors out of poverty by  supporting housing and shelter resources, social services and basic human needs, mental health and indigent healthcare initiatives, and programs that empower and inspire community  members to improve their lives.” 

Upward Transitions is an Oklahoma County non-profit that serves families and individuals who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless, or stranded by providing case management and stabilizing resources to help meet basic social needs.
