Upward Transitions Names Sharon Scott as Volunteer Coordinator

OKLAHOMA CITY – Upward Transitions has named Sharon Scott as the volunteer coordinator for Travelers Aid Oklahoma City. Scott has a career background in the nonprofit sector with a focus on leadership.  Scott’s role will be responsible for volunteer recruitment and management as part of a volunteer program celebrating over 47 years of service to the Oklahoma City community at the Will Rogers World Airport.

Scott was introduced to the volunteers on November 17th at the annual Travelers Aid Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.  Debbie Harrison, Executive Director at Stockyards City Main Street, was the guest speaker for the luncheon, including updates from Jeff Mulder, Director of Airports, City of Oklahoma City, and Upward Transitions Board of Directors President Taylor Fudge of Claims Management Resources. Special service pins were awarded to volunteers celebrating their milestone years of service and new volunteer members received their Travelers Aid “blue man” pin.
